Favorite PCE/TG shooter weapon/sub-weapon/combo

I figured I'd expand here on the "favorite soldier weapon" thread.

My favorite weapon setups are:

Gunhed/BL
  >Bullets w/ homing missiles - you get 8 instead of 4, and if you grab several homing powerups the missiles get faster
  >Ring blaster with Fullfire
  >Waves with Fullfire

AeroBlasters
  >Red missile - A number of people prefer green because it can loop back, but it has a poor turning radius. Red is stronger and can veer up and down almost instantaneously.
  >Six-shot - powerful and easy to hit things with

Nexzr
  >Everything

Gate of Thunder
  >Earthquake - my favorite weapon by far

Orange-Orange-Green (or Orange-Green-Green) in Spriggan.

And the CDs in Star Parodier, because they're pretty.

Dead Moon:
-Red weapon + spinning shields for most of the game, but green weapon for most bosses... I usually use the Red weapon for the skeleton boss of level 6 (because of the wide spread and high damage rate), then change to the Green weapon right before the final boss (penetration powa!)

Lords Of Thunder:
-Earth Armor for everything but Dezant, Fire Armor for Dezant

Gate Of Thunder:
-Earthquake for 99% of the game; Sonic Boom for the diagonal descent in Crown, Lightning for the back attacks in Base and Crown Core

Sidearms:
-Shotgun for almost the entire game; MBL for the bosses of levels 4, 6, 7, and 8; three-way for the level 9 boss

Blazing Lazers:
-Weapon III + shields

Air Zonk:
-The Cards and the Lightning Bolts

For me the most fun powerup in any shooter is the red pod of image fight 1 & 2. Its incredibly fun to pull off a deft maneuver and end up with the pods facing exactly the way you want them. Easily my favorite video game powerup of all time.

Aldynes - I enjoy watching the kickback of the drone guns when they're on seeker mode.

Super Raiden - Laser and homing missiles.

Let's see if I can remember some:

Blazing Lazers- Weapon III + shields or Weapon I full power + Homing Missiles.

Lords of Thunder- Earth Armor for pretty much the entire game...it blows stuff up real good.

Gate of Thunder- Earthquake for the same reason above.

Air Zonk- Playing Cards or Homing Missiles.

Raiden- Laser + homing Missiles.

I'll update some more when I remember them.

Star Parodier - PC Engine + Homing Missiles + Spinning Controllers

Gradius 2 - Ripple Laser + Missiles that fire up and down + Force Field

I like the green missile for most parts of Aeroblasters.

I prefer CDs and Pads with a PC Engine in Star Parodier because of the cool factor.

My favorite LoT weapon for looks is Fire, but Earth armor works best. I like to pick random weapons or ones that I think will be least effective to challenge myself.

Well, you should change things up in the games, but I love....

RAIDEN:  BLUE LAZER + FORWARD MISSILES

TIGER HELI (NES): SIDEWAYS HELI's + Homing Missiles (hahahhahhahah...no, FORWARD EVERYTHING!)

BLAZING LAZERS: Someone said it already...FULLFIRE when it is just a BLUE COMET OF DEATH shooting forward. You can have this with Ring Blaster (BUT IT IS LAME, who needs protection from RingBlaster) so it's way more fun to go 8-WAY PEASHOOTER! FullFire comet still works with this, IIRC.

GRADIUS: LAZERS + DOPPLEGANGERS + 2 SPEEDUPS (typical and lame, but damn, what else was I going to say)

Psycho Chaser - heat seeking lightning and the 8 way when you're fully powered up
